Register Today for Quarantine Cooking on a Budget

The COVID-19 pandemic has devastated our economy. Many families are experiencing loss of employment and income. Thus, forcing households to cut back on daily living expenses, such as food and groceries. Adjusting to smaller paychecks and formulating a nutrition plan on a limited budget is difficult.

Independence, Inc. and NDSU Extension-Family Nutrition Program are partnering to host a virtual Quarantine Cooking on a Budget class on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. The class will help North Dakotans financially affected by the pandemic, learn strategies to create healthy, low-cost meals and discover resources available to support those in need throughout this time.

The class is free and designed for people with physical disabilities, mental health conditions, substance abuse disorder, chronic illnesses, degenerative diseases, learning or cognitive disabilities, phobias, brain injuries and seniors. To register, click the button below and complete the form by the registration deadline, Monday, April 20, 2020.

For more information or questions concerning eligibility, please contact Independence, Inc. at 701-839-4724 or email the Program Director, Jamie Hardt at jamie@independencecil.org.
