Airbnb Makes Accessible Lodging More Inclusive

Booking accessible lodging online is often challenging for travelers with disabilities. Finding the perfect vacation rental with step-free access, a roll-in shower, wide bedroom hallways and appropriate bed heights was difficult to find, until now.

The popular travel service, Airbnb recently updated their accessibility filters to make lodging more inclusive for travelers with disabilities. No more booking a “fully accessible” vacation rental only to discover the bathroom does not have a roll-in shower or grab bars and the hallways are not wide enough to enter the bedroom. The service allows guests to book confidently according to their specific needs and eliminates the uncertainty frequently associated with accessible lodging.
