Hello, my name is Kate Rock and I am the Community Relations Specialist at Independence, Inc.
I moved to Minot in 2006, and my husband and I recently bought our first home in the area.
I started at Independence, Inc. in June after graduating from Minot State University in May with a degree in Marketing. I really enjoy what I do and could not imagine a better place to be, especially right out of school. The staff here is so caring and really strives to make a positive difference within Minot and the surrounding communities.
What is your role at Independence, Inc.?
I am the Community Relations Specialist, so my job is a mix of marketing, PR, social media, and event planning and promotion, just to name a few!
What is your favorite thing about working at Independence?
My favorite thing is the variety of things I get to do. Every day, and every project is different. I like that there are opportunities for learning and creativity built into the job because of that, so I am never bored!
What is your favorite binge-worthy television show?
Either The Handmaid’s Tale or The Nanny.
