Let’s face it, virtual is the new reality! If you are a person that is interested in learning how-to use videoconferencing applications or simply want to expand your knowledge of web-based video platforms, this class is for you!
Independence, Inc. invites North Dakotans to participate in a fun and engaging introduction to the world of videoconferencing on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, from 6:30-8:00 PM via Zoom. Class Participants will explore the features and functions of the most popular video chat apps on the market. As well as examine the concept of netiquette (online etiquette), best practices for online safety, and how to effectively host a meeting or online social activity!
This class is free and available to North Dakotans with disabilities that reside within the Independence, Inc. service region. Pre-registration is required. The registration deadline is Wednesday, February 17th.
- Must identify as a person with a disability (physical disability, mental health condition, substance abuse disorder, chronic illness, degenerative disease, learning or cognitive disability, cancer, phobia, brain injury, or senior living with the effects of aging).
- Must reside within our 11 county service area (Bottineau, Burke, Divide, McHenry, McKenzie, Mountrail, Pierce, Renville, Rolette, Ward, and Williams).

Do I need experience using Zoom or other videoconferencing tools to participate?
No, this class is designed for all competency levels. If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, our staff will schedule an appointment to help you create an account and walk you through the log-in process prior to participating in the class.
Do I need to have a computer to participate?
No, this class can be accessed by phone, tablet, PC, or laptop.
