Join Independence, Inc. for a FREE and EGGCITING convenience cooking lesson on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 2:00-3:00 P.M. via Zoom. Class participants will learn how to prepare a variety of delicious egg recipes and practice following food safety guidelines. 


The hands-on class will be facilitated by Independent Living Advocate, Connie Klein. Klein brings a wealth of cooking experience to her classes and enjoys sharing her passion for preparing nutritious meals with North Dakotans with disabilities.


Ingredients and cooking utensils will be provided. Items will be delivered to participants in the Minot area. Participants residing outside of city limits may pick-up cooking kits at the Independence, Inc. office located at 2000 E. Burdick Expy. Suite C, Minot, ND 58701.

Registration is REQUIRED as class space and supplies are limited. The registration deadline is Friday, August 28th or until spots are filled.

Eligibility:

  • Must identify as a person with a disability (physical disability, mental health condition, substance abuse disorder, chronic illness, degenerative disease, learning or cognitive disability, cancer, phobia, brain injury or senior living with the effects of aging)

  • Must reside within our 11 county service region (Bottineau, Burke, Divide, McHenry, McKenzie, Mountrail, Pierce, Renville, Rolette, Ward and Williams).

Note: Supplies are intended for class use only. Registrants are expected to log-in and participate in the virtual cooking class via Zoom.
