Do you enjoy DIY projects and the idea of creating functional items with lumber? Join Independence, Inc. for our first-ever, virtual woodworking workshop on Tuesday, August 25th from 2:00-3:30 P.M. via the video conferencing platform, Zoom. Participants will discover the fundamentals of woodcrafting and learn how to build a pair of bookends.
The class is FREE and available to anyone with a physical disability, mental health condition, substance abuse disorder, chronic illness, degenerative disease, learning or cognitive disability, phobia, brain injury, cancer or seniors living with the effects of aging. Participants must reside within the agency’s eleven county service region (Bottineau, Burke, Divide, McHenry, McKenzie, Mountrail, Pierce, Renville, Rolette, Ward and Williams).
Class supplies will be provided and delivered to participants prior to the lesson. Early registration is encouraged as space is limited. The registration deadline is Friday, August, 14, 2020.
Note: Supplies are intended for class use only. Registrants are expected to log-in and participate in the virtual art lesson via Zoom. If you receive a woodworking kit and are unable to fulfill the participation requirement, you may be obligated to pay a fee of $12 to cover the cost of supplies or return the kit.
