Application Process
- How do I apply for Independence's services?
It’s easy. You need to call 800.377.5114 (V/TDD) or 701.839.4727 (V/TDD) and talk with someone about setting up services. An Independent
Living Specialist will set up an appointment. The appointment will usually take from 60 to 90 minutes; the applicant will be asked to respond to a variety of questions regarding his or her primary or secondary disability, the service requested, referral sources, accommodations required, etc.
- Does it cost anything?
There is no fee for our services.
- What happens next?
You will complete an intake appointment and learn about the services offered by Independence, Inc. The staff will work with you to create services that meet your personal needs and goals.
- Then what?
Within a week following the intake appointment, an applicant will receive in the mail a letter informing him/her either that he/she has been accepted to receive servicess and start working on obtaining goals.
